Come & Visit – Cheese Shoppe
Visitors are always welcome at the Veldhuizen Cheese Shoppe. We are open every day except Sundays. Hours are 10am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, you’ll find us in the shop from 10am to 4pm.
Along with our cheese, other products raised on our farm are also available:
- Grade A Raw for Retail Milk
- Farm fresh eggs
- Ground beef & other beef cuts as available
- Bulk pork sausage
- A variety of gourmet and gift items from local vendors
Sample your favorite cheeses – and try some you’ve never tasted before! Your favorite cheese is cut to order – fresh! Want to sit outside and enjoy a refreshing view of the farm? Try a cheese sampler plate with four of our most popular cheeses.
Tours
Come see your favorite hand-crafted Texas artisan cheeses being made. We have a large viewing window where you can watch the cheese-making process. Call ahead to see if we’ll be crafting cheese on the day of your visit.
We offer tours every Saturday at 10:30am for just $3 per adult and $2 per child (ages 6-12). Tours at other times, and group tours, can be accommodated upon request. Just give us a call. Please allow one hour for the tour.
You’ll see highlights of the cheese-making process, visit the cheese aging cave and our Blue cheese aging room, see the baby calves, and the milking parlor. You’ll also have time to sample our variety of handmade, artisan cheeses. Be sure to take home plenty of your favorites! You’ll be glad you did.
