Caraway Cheddar

Veldhuizen is a good, strong Dutch name. Stuart’s mom requested this cheese because of her enjoyment of a Dutch cheese from her heritage. Adding caraway seeds to the curd brings out the unmistakable spicy caraway flavor in an aged cheddar with a semi-firm texture. Caraway Cheddar goes great with a red wine, and is deliciously superb on a Reuben sandwich. Caraway is aged for 6-12 months.
